I cannot believe how time flies! We went to the hospital tour yesterday. It was so awesome. The room where I will have him is so huge. I have a feeling I will probably not want to leave. It is so cozy. I just kept thinking about how I will be in that room sometime in the next 8 weeks and it was a little overwhelming and exciting all at the same time. The next few weeks are going to fly by also. We leave for Destin on Thursday, come back on the 4th; work shower on the 6th; home shower on the 9th; childbirth class on the 16th; couples shower on the 23rd and then I am home free to wait for Kristin to have William and me to have Logan.
I think we finally have the childcare situation figured out and with the combination of Grandma McCracken, Grandma Thornton, Daddy Ben and 2 days of daycare a week, Logan will be well taken care of and have LOTS of fun. The only BIG thing we have left to do is pick a pediatrician. I have the list of recommendations from my doctor and the list from my insurance so I have to get to work on that.
By the way - we went on Thursday to have some 3D pictures taken of him and we couldn't. He is in the breach position right now and my placenta was covering his face. Go figure...my kid is being camera shy. The tech lady said he still ahs time to turn around, but we will see. There was a LOT of movement this weekend so maybe he turned around. My moms friend Linda made a perfect analogy:
"Typical guy, he doesn't know his head from his rear. We all know a girl would be head down, ready to go!" Ha ha I have another appointment on the 6th when I come back from Destin so I will let the doctor know and give an update. The good thing about "attempting" the 3D ultrasound was that we got to see Logan in 2D. We saw his little face and it looked adorable. It was really quick glimpses, but at least I accomplished what I really wanted which was to see him.
We should have a contract on the new house when we come back from Destin on the 4th, which means we have to get busy putting our house on the market. I have already started de-cluttering, but I have to do it in spurts because my feet start swelling like crazy. I am currently laid up in the bed with my feet elevated as often as possible (not as much as Ben would like, but I am getting used to the fact that they are going to hurt more and more the closer I get to the due date if I don't stop and rest more often.)
I have a feeling Logan will be just like his daddy...

Hahahahahahahaha
