August 2008 - Baby #2 on the way!

8/19/08 - BIG NEWS!!!!!! In about 9 months this website will be named Logan Thornton and "Baby yet to be named" Thornton. That's right Logan will be a big brother at the ripe old age of 21 months. HA. Obviously we are hoping for a girl, but just want a healthy baby! I am almost 5 weeks so very early still. We have our first dr appt Sept 9th. By my calculation as long as everything goes well, we should be finding out the sex around Thanksgiving. We are ecstatic, scared, nervous, stressed about everything! We wanted our children to be close in age, I guess we just didn't expect it to happen SOOO quickly. The calculated due date is April 24, 2009. We will have a c-section so it will be about 10 days earlier than that. Wish us luck!!!!

Logan went to his first full day of day care today. He did remarkably well considering it was his first full day. He cried like crazy when I left and when I returned, but she said that he actually did fairly well. He even took about an hour nap!!! I know once he gets used to it he will sleep better, eat better and play better and HOPEFULLY learn to start walking!

Hope everyone is doing well and we love you all!!!!

8/6/08 - It's almost time for football season!!!!! FINALLY!!! Logan has a little red and black football that he will find on comand if you say "where is your football?" It's awesome!!! He is doing a lot better than he was a week ago. He started out having what we thought were really bad separation anxiety issues, but it might have been a combination of a few things. He now has 2 teeth on the bottom (they are so cute). He ran a high fever all weekend and took him to the doctor on Monday and found out that he probably is allergic to the milk that we started him on a week ago which contributed to congestion and an ear infection and the fever. Now he is on decongestant and antibiotics and Soy milk. Hopefully this will help! He has been sleeping a lot better the last 2 days. He slept HORRIBLY this weekend and was on Motrin/Tylenol every 3 hours to keep his fever down. Like I said, hopefully we are in the clear now and he will continue to improve. He made the change to soy fairly easily. We still mix in water and formula. We will start phasing it out once he has been on the soy/formula combo for a little bit.
Well - gotta go for now. I will have more pictures soon!
